Episode #65 of the Coming Up Short podcast is a fun one. We’ve imported our guest from way down south who traveled quite a ways just to be on the show. We’re very happy to welcome Isabella Patty to Coming Up Short! Eric Rosenblum and Jon Levine spend the better part of the show getting to know Isabella and the twists and turns of her comedy career.

Something else that comes out during the show is an interesting perspective of the comedy scene in South Florida and how rough it can be from a woman’s perspective. Isabella recently witnessed first-hand how hard guys can be on women, both ones they perform with and audience members. It’s quite eye-opening.

“I want this to be the least listened to episode ever!” That was the first thing to come out of this week’s guest on the Coming Up Short podcast, which is something that Eric Rosenblum and Jon Levine were definitely not expecting. Chris Flanagan’s desire was not for a bad show, but to actually shower Eric and Jon with compliments. Chris was definitely gunning for the best-guest-ever award.

He was also one of the most interesting guests, with a discussion that ranged from what it’s like to start comedy in urban rooms, to taking other people’s advice when you’re on stage, and so much more. Chris and Jon also discuss their participation in the World Series of Comedy event in Chattanooga and what the takeaways from their performances were.
